Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

We are seeking a 3rd Line Engineer with exceptional VMware expertise to join their dynamic IT team. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy solving complex challenges, this role is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the organization’s VMware environment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide advanced technical support for infrastructure issues, serving as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line teams.
  • Perform server and network administration, including backups, patching, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Lead infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and performance bottlenecks.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a 3rd Line Engineer or similar role.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
  • Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a bonus but not essential.
