IBM Tivoli Engineer

Chapman Tate Associates are delighted to be recruiting for an IBM Tivoli Engineer on behalf of a prestigious client operating at the forefront of their industry. As an IBM Tivoli Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing, configuring, and maintaining Tivoli infrastructure to ensure seamless IT operations. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, contribute to project delivery, and support the business with cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage IBM Tivoli products, including Tivoli Monitoring (ITM), Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), and Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).

  • Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning to optimize infrastructure reliability.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot system issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Tivoli solutions with other enterprise systems.

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including configurations, procedures, and technical guides.

  • Provide expert-level support for Tivoli tools and assist in resolving escalated issues.

  • Contribute to IT projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and timelines.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing, configuring, and managing IBM Tivoli products.

  • Strong knowledge of Tivoli Monitoring (ITM), TSM, and TWS.

  • Expertise in system integration, scripting, and automation (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and methodologies.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

  • Certifications in IBM Tivoli or related technologies are a plus.
